Wayne Thiebaud - Living Artist

Wayne Thiebaud lives in the San Francisco area.  He began his career as an illustrator.   Although a fine artist, he is associated with the "Pop Art" movement.  He is famous for his depictions of cakes, pies, gumballs, lollipops, etc.   Thiebaud applies his paint using a thick "impasto" style.  His cakes and ice creams looks as almost edible.   He is also known for his landscapes of the San Francisco Bay area.
